Leave it better than you found it.

Leigh Eisen Designs

A native San Diegan and UCLA alum, I began my career in advertising where I learned the value of assessing the competitive landscape and carving out one's own unique piece - a niche - and (sometimes) disrupting the status quo along the way. I believe this philosophy can and should be applied to places, brands, and even one's place of employment.

Through my experience at Columbia University (MS UP), the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the Garment District Alliance, the New York City Department of Small Business Services, the Coro Leadership Academy, the City of Santa Ana, and the City of Ventura, I have practiced neighborhood development in a variety of contexts and settings—from New Orleans to the South Bronx; from Jamaica Queens to midtown Manhattan; from Santa Ana to Ventura. I have a proven track record managing a wide array of successful projects and programs, extensive professional references, a master’s degree in urban planning, and fifteen years of local commercial revitalization, marketing, economic development, and project management experience.

Placemaking and placebranding are my passions. It is clear that downtowns across the nation are undergoing a renaissance, with increased demand for walkable, bikeable, historic, safe, attractive and authentic mixed-use environs. I aim to leave them better than how I found them.
